Tonaquint Park in St. George was proud to open the Thunder Junction All Abilities Park.

This park has a wealth of exciting activities, such as a train ride, wheelchair-accessible playground equipment, a climbing wall, an “erupting” volcano, a splash pad, and a “roaring” C.P. Huntington 1/4-scale train on a 2,700-foot track. The entire area is covered with durable soft-surfacing to make it easier for those in wheelchairs.

Yes, only of the things that makes this park special is the fact that it has wheelchair-accessible playground equipment so it is the perfect place to bring children in a wheelchair.

Passengers can take a journey through the park on the cheap train operated by a live conductor. As they wait in the shade of the depot, the train will carry them on a 1/2 mile loop around the park, passing a man-made sandstone tunnel, a smoldering volcano, and both an overpass and underpass. With this ride, passengers can take in all that the park has to offer.
