Where To Stay Near Arches National Park Utah

There are no lodges or hotels directly inside Arches National Park so all the hotels we recommend will be located outside of the park (but in a close proximity).

If you are set on staying directly inside the park, your only choice will be to camp which you can do at Devils Garden Campground. It’s extremely popular as locals also bring the kids to camp here as a fun weekend activity so if you want to camp inside the NP, you need to make a reservation 6 months in advance in the summer until October each year.

If you have missed the boat on camping or if you prefer a little extra comfort at night, the best place to stay near Arches National Park is Moab (where we stayed!) which is only a 10 minute easy drive from the Arches National Park Entrance Station. All the hotels we have suggested in this round-up are located in Moab.

Moab is also a great place to stay if you are visiting Canyonlands NP as well as Arches.

Arches National Park where to stay

What is Arches National Park known for?

Arches National Park boasts a remarkable distinction, with over 2000 documented natural stone arches, making it home to the highest concentration of such formations worldwide.

Among these, the iconic Delicate Arch stands out, soaring 18 meters high and even adorning Utah’s license plates. Interestingly, Delicate Arch was not initially part of the park when it was designated a United States National Monument in 1929. It became an integral part of the park only after its expansion in 1938.

As one of Utah’s “Mighty Five” National Parks, alongside Bryce Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands, Arches National Park captivates visitors with its natural wonders and unparalleled beauty.
